Living with a Brain Tumor
Posted by: Dan @ 6:55 am

Welcome… This is Dan, Sandy’s husband. I’ll be attempting to update this blog daily as Sandy prepares for and undergoes surgery on the brain tumor that has become active again. This seemed like a good way to keep friends and family updated and also share comments that we receive. If you would like your comment to not be published, just let me know. Go to Sandy’s website journal at sandybeardsley.com to read about her journey in living with a brain tumor since 1999. Chapter 18 is her latest entry.
Thanks for all the love and support.

Your web page is great. Brings back memories. I lost a neice to cancer. She was ten. She had a tumor and they removed it. During raidiation and chemo, three caim back. She was fearless and had a tremdenous heart. She informed everyone that she was OK and she knew where she was going. She was an angel of ours and we had to let her go. My prayers are with you and I love your attitude.

Sandy, Don and I were so heartbroken to hear the news of your MRI results. Meeting you this summer was very special to me. I hope I can emmulate an ounce of your view on life! We will keep you and Dan in our thoughts and prayers. If you need ANYTHING, don’t hesitate - just call or email us, anytime of the day or night. We know the surgery will go fantastically and you’ll be back in no time. Afterward the surgery, you and Dan need to come back to the barn for a romantic dinner! All our Love and Best Wishes for a SPEEDY recovery. Deb & Don

Sandy and Dan, I agree with you Sis, the tough part is done, the plane flight! Dan, maybe you could put a "SEE BICYCLES" sticker on the plane for good luck too. Hope you got the pink cowgirl hat pics, Paris loves that hat. She’ll say "Aunt Sanny got me dat". Talk to you soon, Love you, Eric
  8. Don Virgovic Says:
Well, looks like I am the spaz here - why did this do this and not leave my message like everyone else? Never mind, I know the answer…… See note above from Debbie, my wife who can do both complex and simple things… Love, DOn

Hi Sandy and Dan, I appreciate your words, describing the journey and the Stanford atmosphere. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. Glad the travel day is behind you. I’ll bet the trip home won’t be nearly so frightening. I think about you Sandy, my sister in law and friend….”the warrior”. I have nothing but pride and admiration for you. Ditto to the comment above…thank you for teaching me to live in the moment, enjoy what is right in front of me and be present for life and all its beauty and glory. You truly are a woman of grace, courage and kindness. Dan, I’m certain the wonderful people you are meeting are blessed to be meeting YOU. Know that you are loved. Megan

Dear Sandy and Dan, You were in my prayers as you went into surgery this morning and I continue to hold you in the light of God’s healing presence. Messengers (angels) and signs are all around you. It sounds like you have been visited by some of them and recognized others already! God bless you. We are eager to here how the surgery went. Shalom, Merry

Hi, Dan. I’ve been following your blog enteries - they are inspiring to all of us. Thank you! And please thank Sandy for so graciously sharing this very difficult journey with us - it is making a difference for so many of us in terms of appreciating what we have, keeping life in perspective, and seizing the blessings out of every moment. I continue to pray for her recovery and that the two of you receive the strength and peace of mind, in the meantime, to weather this ordeal. And speaking of blessings, I spoke with Martha Lowe today - people on the Forest have donated over 300 hours of leave to you, so you won’t have to worry about that for a long while. You can just focus on Sandy and continue encouraging her healing as you have been doing so very well. My best to you both.

Hey, you two! You have moved me to tears, touched my heart in places I don’t think have ever been touched, made me think and feel special because you are sharing yourselves with all of us. Thank you. You are incredible and strong. The first rain came on Halloween and our Lake Wenatchee country was covered in white. Now the rain is pouring down and filling up needed puddles and dry places. We are so happy to hear you’ll be coming home soon. I’ve sent you a couple of messages from my drtyface@aol.com, but I don’t think you’ve rec’d them. I hope this one works. Have a restful strength-building day, you two. Love you, Cork
